Some argue that teaching eternal security encourages believers to live carelessly. Paul answers directly: “By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it?” Eternal security is not a license to sin — it's a motivation for gratitude and holiness that flows from the Holy Spirit's work in every true believer.
